With the fun also comes work!

With the fun also comes work!

Not to say that writing isn’t work, because it is—hard work. But most authors enjoy writing. It’s the promotion we find hard, tiring, and stressful. All the chats, comments on loops and blog sites we post on take time away from our writing. But hey, it’s part of the deal and an important aspect of being an author. And it’s also a key trait in being supportive of our fellow authors.

Fortunately for us, sites like this one—You Gotta Read Guest Blogspot make our promoting job easier. Thank you, Stephanie and Tami for the opportunity to be a guest today and to share my projects with you and your readers.

I have two new novels out May 1st and I’m so proud of both. Each is with a different publisher and each is totally different in flavor.

Investment of the Heart, from Champagne Books (www.champagnebooks.com) is a contemporary western romance set in the Hill Country of Texas. It is available in ebook format. The ISBN# is 978-1-897445-80-8.

Blurb:

Widow Hallie Barron wants her daughter happily married to the young rancher she loves. When Simon Cole enters Hallie’s life she’s reminded she’s a woman with needs and desires. She yearns for a love like she once had, but fears risking her heart.

Rancher Simon Cole is prejudiced against city women and believes they don’t belong on a ranch. He’s set to prove his nephew’s fiancée is a mistake. Yet when he meets her mother, he finds himself wishing there was a place for Hallie in his life.

On a ranch in the Hill Country of Texas, love is recognized, lost, and found.

Title: Investment Of The Heart

Author: Linda LaRoque

Publisher: Champagne Books

Rating: You Gotta Read

This is not just your everyday western romance love story. The author has touched on issues that a lot of authors run from such as, death of a spouse, forgiveness, blended families, and a few more issues you can discover on your own. She has created characters with love, compassion, strength, stubbornness, and humor. There are characters you will love, and some you will love to hate. By the time you get to the end of this story, you will be searching for other books by this author. You will not be disappointed in this story.

My Heart Will Find Yours, from The Wild Rose Press (www.thewildrosepress.com) is a time travel western historical romance set in 1880 Waco, Texas. It is available in ebook format and paperback at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com. The ISBN# is

1-60154-490-1.

Blurb:

Fated lovers suffer the agony of loss only to be reunited to fulfill a greater plan.

TEXANNA KEITH doesn’t believe an antique locket is the key to time travel, but plays along, and to her horror, is zapped back to 1880 Waco, Texas. Her mission is to prevent Royce Dyson’s death in a shootout. Wounded, she loses what she longs for most — a life with Royce.

Marshall ROYCE DYSON’S wife disappeared in 1876. Now she’s reappeared, claiming she’s a time traveler from the future. As he seeks the truth, he’s determined to keep Texanna with him, but it’s not destined to be.

Author Comments:

Linda LaRoque’s My Heart Will Find Yours is a wonderful Western time travel. Her characters are extremely likeable and faith-filled. The way LaRoque plays the past and the present using one to change the other makes this story truly unique. I loved the characters and unexpected plot twists. My Heart Will Find Yours is fast paced and compelling. I read it in one sitting.

Do you believe in the possibility of time travel? Of love ever after? By the time you finish reading My Heart Will Find Yours, you will.

I had the pleasure of reviewing this wonderful story and once I started, I couldn’t put it down until the very end. It will grip your heart and emotions and take you for a ride that will stay with you forever. I laughed, cried, despaired and cheered at everything Texanna and Royce went through in their quest for love.

Linda LaRoque weaves a wonderful story of compassion, loss and triumph. You won’t be disappointed with this story. It’s a keeper on my bookshelf.

Hi Linda!

Congrats on your new releases. How exciting is that? Being able to say you have two books out at the same time! My hat is off to you!

I wish you tons of success! And thanks for a great psot. I'm a new writer and I'm learning quick. Networking and promotion are key to "getting into the mix."
